Congratulations and Happy 20th Anniversary to all those involved with National History Day in PA from Chester and Delaware Counties!
Welcome and Congratulations to our new State Coordinator Jeff Hawks!
The Chester County Historical Society is to be commended for its 20 years of sponsership. Carol Grigson, the regional coordinator, celebrates her own anniversary with the program - 10 years! In 2009, Carol recruited 80 people to judge and assist in the regional event that provided a great opportunity for 271 students in 19 schools plus homeschooled students to present a total of 158 entries. A thank you is extended to Immaculata University for its continued support in hosting the event.
Farewell and Congratulations to Kim Fortney, Regional Coordinator for Lancaster, Berks, and Lebanon counties. Kim begins in August a new position as Deputy Director for the National History Day program.
Welcome Joe Labant and Wendy Toole, Regional Coordinators for Lancaster, Berks, and Lebanon counties! We hope that your first regional competition is a success!
Thank you to Jim Tuten and Juniata College for their many years of sponsoring and hosting the program for Juniata, Mifflin, Huntindgon, Centre, Blair, and Snyder counties.
Many thanks also go out to Lorraine Luciano who had served as the NHD in PA State Coordinator for two years. You will be missed and we hope that your retirement is full of relaxation!
